Dutch students are enrolled in the Dutch secondary vocational education system, which means that students complete their professional training at one of the four levels in our national system. The levels determine the degree of complexity and responsibility assigned to students during their work placement. Obviously, the higher the level the more flexibility you have in terms of placing candidates and assigning them responsibility in your company. Experience shows that students enrolled in level 3 or 4 study programmes are most likely to apply for work placement abroad. Consequently, as a work placement company you will probably be working with upper level students.
